The Chief’s Newsletter is a weekly email sent to all adults in Scouting and Rover Scouts. It is an opportunity for the Chief Commissioner to communcate personally with adult members about important news and upcoming events. For those with less time to read the email, the Chief Commissioner records a video message and this can be watched through Youtube.

The email contains updates on policy and processes, upcoming dates and events are shared and there is an opportunity for Branch Commissioners to communicate with members with section / activity specific news. The State Office team share details regarding facilities and risk, available grants and grant processes and finance guidance and support. Awards and qualifications gained over the last month are shared and celebrated and a calendar of training courses provides details on course availability and deadlines.

It is the one regular point of contact by the organisation to its adult members and replaces numberous emails and repetative communication.

The email is despatched at 4pm on Thursday afternoons and copies are shared on this website below, through the Scouts Queensland Facebook and also on Spotify.
